Master of Computer Application (MCA)

Introduction

The main objective of the program is to meet the growing demand of qualified professionals in the field of Computer Software and Information Technology. The program emphasizes the application of software technology to solve scientific as well as commercial problems. The programs thrust is on giving the learners a thorough and sound background in theoretical and application oriented courses including latest trends in computer software development. The program so developed is most dynamic and provides foundation for research in the core and emerging areas of the discipline

Program Components

The program has been divided into two semesters per year. The first year courses are aimed at foundation development in computers using various technologies, the second year is more focused on core courses providing a conceptual frame work and the final year is devoted to familiarize with emerging technology and the project work leading to foundation for research. The program consists of 31 courses in all. There are total of 108 credits which requires 30 hrs of study for each credit. All the courses are distributed into under mentioned six semesters.

Eligibility

Passed with min 45% in B.Sc. with Mathematics or possessing technical degree e.g. B.Tech/ BE./ BCA/ Any Master Degree in any Subject.
