Introduction

Bachelor Of Arts: This programme can be completed in Minimum three and Maximum six years. In all a student has to accumulate 36 credits in each year in three elective subjects to be choosen in the first year of study. Total 108 credits have been prescribed for the programme. In the first year of study a student will be given foundation courses and Elective courses, but in iind and iii rd years of study only elective courses will be given to the students. for the

First Year: Foundation Courses
The Foundation Courses are compulsory for all the students in first year. A student has a choice to opt any one language either General English (QEG) or General Hindi (QHD). The marks obtained in these papers will not be considered for counting the final Division. However, a student has to qualify these papers.

Elective Courses:

Evaluation & Examinations:

Internal Assignment:

The internal assignment shall carry a weightage of 30 per cent of marks. Two assignments will be given in each course and the marks obtained in the assignment will be added with the marks obtained in the term-end examinations.

Term-End-Examination:

There shall be a term-end-examination at the end of the First, Second, and the Third Year of study every year. It carries a weightage of 70% marks. Term-End-Examination will be held in the months of June and December every year.  The students are at liberty to appear in any of the examinations conducted by the university during the year subject to the completion of the minimum time frame prescribed for the programme pursued. For appearing in the examination of due papers a student will have to submit Back Paper Examination Form along with the requisite examination fee before the due date.

Note:

  1. Minimum passing marks are 30% in each component and are 35% in aggregate.
  2. The list of suggested readings is provided at the end of each chapter.
  3. A student can opt for either General Hindi or General English.
  4. If a student does not appear in any Term-End-Examination, he/she may appear in them in the subsequent Term-End-Examinations subject to a double the credit prescribed by the University for an Examination.
  5. Marks obtained in the Foundation Course will not be added for the calculation of the division of a student but it will be compulsory to qualify the foundation courses.

Division shall be awarded only after passing all the courses of study and internal assignments of the entire programme in the final year to the successful candidates as follows:
I – Division - 60% and above
II –Division- 48% and less than 60%
Pass- 35% and less than 48%
